25-30.6 Saturday - Thursday:
In Vilanculos we stayed longer than expected, mainly because of “Mac” a tiny dog whose life we tried to save- unfortunately unsuccessful. A guy who was taking care of the campground where we stayed was apparently the owner of this skinny, sick, 4 months old little thing, full of flees and God knows what. Ju showered him and brought him twice to the vet (if the name is appropriate, but I guess that guy was the best option we had) .
After all he didn’t survive, which made us quite sad (in the meanwhile Ju already tried to convince me that we HAVE TO smuggle him into South Africa to give him to dear Hanneke who is taking care of all sorts of animals already).
Apart from trying to become vets we went diving in the beautiful Bazaruto Archipelago, which truly looks like one of those pictures you can find in these beach-paradise like travel magazines: endless white sand, crystal clear water, islands, sandbanks, dunes and lots of marine life. We even saw a Dugong (like a Dolphin but very hard to find) on the way back from the boat.
